ART AT THE CLUBS

What a great experience having the opportunity to do art classes with you at the clubs while I was running the little art studio at the same time.

I felt very grateful and excited to have created art lesson plans that had given us the opportunity to explore a range of art and craft topics and materials.

I loved seeing us work through both the excitement and challenges while creating the pieces of art, and happily honouring both the process and the completed art pieces that were uniquely yours and mine.

What a nice bonding time to see a couple of you siblings and twins come in for the same art classes.

You may not always sit together because your genius needed you to be the greater kid to guide others or you as the little saplings to be guided and inspired by the artistry of your greater mentors.

Your chattiness. Your Cheekiness. And Just You Being You.

I have so much to learn from you.

Thank you for your love and light, and great support.

Aside from the regular art classes,

we also ran a couple of amazing art workshops during the local school holidays at a couple of clubs.

The ABSTRACT RAINBOW ART PAINTING

was absolutely

GORGEOUS . WILD . ONE OF A KIND

A GREAT GIANT PIECE

~~~
Another was a painting workshop for adults and elderly.
They were so focused and in the flow, and created paintings that were so beautiful.
~~~

There was also a painting event themed for our Pre-National Day activities and for our Singapore heritage.

It took place at an underground space within the club. The space was a bomb shelter.

It was nice seeing families swing by for the fun and goodies of the day.

Life is full of colours. Let it shower over you with the choices you make. It’s a promise, one day, you will come out happier and lighter, because you choose to learn to make authentic choices.

Smile More

Smile more. It will literally carry you through the harder moments of life, and even in the smallest of result at the beginning.

And when you let go of more that weighs you down, you start to see yourself smiling more.

Life will present us with sadness, sorrows and sufferings in stages, and these storms will also pass in stages.

Smile.

AMAZE YOURSELF

Everything that you create tells a story.

Sometimes, you know it like a best friend.

Other times, you have to learn to befriend it.

Many times, you will look back at the art pieces like old friends and albums.

And you continue to amaze yourself. You create and you tell a story.

Because you are the writer of your life.

MY ISLAND HOME

In The Singapore Story (1998), he writes,

“ The task of the leaders must be to provide or create for them a strong framework within which they can learn, work hard, be productive and be rewarded accordingly. And this is not easy to achieve. “

~ Lee Kuan Yew ~

The two photos above were taken in 2023 during a school’s yacht day out.

While on the yacht, I managed to capture an unexpected sky time rehearsal of a couple of helicopters flying our nation’s flags. It was very likely for the Singapore’s National Day celebrations.

The smaller photo shows an expensive residence district and a small port where the yachts dock.
